10 Second Dance is an initiative and production of 10 Second Move Foundation (Wouter Gulikers and Maria Speth) i.c.w. Academy for Dance Education of Fontys University of the Arts Tilburg and the Dutch Dance Days.
Dance, music and film in combination with technology reinforce each other in the app. People from different backgrounds can use this app to interact with each other without language being an obstacle. The strength of the project is that all participants are equally involved in the process and are both creator / performer and spectator. In this way, the audience will also experience in this lecture / demonstration that everyone has dance in their pocket!
The app was launched during the Dutch Dance Days 2019.
